As of April 15, 2024, Soulo will close. Thank you for all of your support these last two years. ❤️

Saying goodbye to Soulo.

When I launched Soulo in October 2022, I was excited about how I could change the way people think about self-care, like shifting a traditional bath experience to something with depth, reflection, and intention. Keeping a business running is not easy. But I learned a lot in the process—about business, myself, and most importantly, community.

What it led me to realize is that my true passion is in helping people—holding space for hard conversations, building community, and uplifting those who need support the most. It’s with this realization that I decided to go back to school in the fall of 2024 for a Master of Social Work to become a Psychotherapist.

It was an emotional decision, but ultimately, I’ve decided to close Soulo and focus on this next journey of mine. Here’s a few of the most important lessons I’ve learned in this endeavor that I hope will help you as well:

  1. If you have an idea, try it out. There’s no right or wrong way to do anything. There’s just possibilities and your goal is to iterate quickly, build something lean, and figure out if your business model makes sense in the world.
  2. Keep asking yourself, “what can I learn?” Instead of having an expectation and being let down when something doesn’t go the way you hoped, look at what you can learn and you will never be disappointed.
  3. You have to believe in yourself and that what you’re doing is possible. Because if you don’t, you will always be living in fear of what others think, what you’re capable of, and what’s even possible.

Lastly, thank you to everyone who has supported this mission of mine. From sharing about Soulo, to purchasing products, and even hearing how the experience impacted your life. You’ve brought a smile to my face every time I saw an order notification come in. Those are some of the best moments I will always remember.

Here’s to supporting whatever idea, passion, or community that you’re bringing to life. Onto the next endeavor.

With all the feelings,

Brian Lamy
